Pages Flat Road, Victor Harbor is a high-speed single carriageway that spans 13km between Main South Road, Myponga and Victor Harbor Road, Willunga. Having successfully completed the Waitpinga Road / Battye Road Intersection Upgrade Green Frog Systems were engaged to supply an off-grid lighting solution for the T-junction intersection at the Victor Harbor Road end.
The 10.5m ASPIRE roadway light had proven itself to meet the performance expectations of the City and was also a very cost effective option as it minimised traffic disruptions for motorists by avoiding bitumen cutting, trenching, cabling and power connection. The same solution was therefore prescribed for the Pages Flat Rd. / Victor Harbor Rd. intersection [view location on map]
Partnering with professional solar PV installers from Glow Heating Cooling Electrical, the 10.5m street light was quickly erected, commissioned and operating within 90 minutes of being delivered to site.

On this occasion, a single light provided adequate illumination levels for the intersection and is an example of how just one single light at an intersection, junction or crossing can act as a Flag Light and alert approaching vehicles of the change in road conditions from a greater distance than when illuminated solely by vehicle headlights.
