Background
Location : Leopold Memorial Park | Geelong, VIC
Project brief: Leopold Memorial Park is home to The Leopold War Memorial; a site that in 1926 was set aside to honour local soldiers from the region. Created for the City of Greater Geelong in close partnership with the Leopold War Memorial Committee and the Australian Government as part of its Anzac Centenary Program. A newly constructed gazebo at the site required illumination but as the location is without power a solar lighting option was investigated.
Solution
Green Frog Systems have a solar powered solution designed for these types of applications. The GFS-50-MSL is a modular shelter light that can be adapted to suit all types of under cover sites such as sports facilities, shelters, BBQ areas, gazebos, and amenity blocks. The MSL unit is scalable for various applications and can integrate multiple solar panels depending on environmental factors such as partial shading from foliage. Other configurations are also available such as multiple external light fixtures from one MSL for applications such as toilet cubicles.
